Regional Category Manager - AutomotiveIn September of 2024, SKF announced the separation of its Automotive business, with the objective to build two world-leading companies. The role you are applying for will be a part of the new company created from the Automotive business. This means you will have the opportunity to be a part of shaping a new company aimed at meeting the needs of the transforming global automotive market.Location: ShanghaiPurpose of Job / Job Summary:? Support management assigned categories, participate in category strategies & support strategic sourcing projects.Key Responsibilities:1. Develop and implementation of a regional category strategy.2. To analyze spend data & secure delivery of expected results.3. To participate in sourcing projects involving all contributing members, ensuring defined methodologies (TCO/QCDIM/) are used.4. To participate to the selection of a Long-Term supplier base.5. To support SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) activities including supplier development activities.6. To participate to supply market development activities on demand.7. To support the management of internal stakeholders’ relationships securing best practices roll out.8. To run their operations according to the SKF Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality Policies, and work according to the SKF Quality Management System. If the operation is EHS certified, work according to the SKF EHS Management System.Requirements:1. University Degree preferably in Engineering or equivalent2. Over 10 years solid work experience and managerial experiences with proven career track and achievements in areas of Purchasing and Supply Chain3. Good knowledge and Experience with local markets and supplier bases within auto industry; Strong business focus and good at building relationships/teamwork with peers, SKF Factories, and Suppliers4. Good business overview and to understand the connection between purchasing and manufacturing.5. Be a team player and enjoy teamwork.6. Strong organizing, planning & analysis skills.7. Good negotiating and communication skills with external and internal business partners and has strong commercial experiences and contract skills.8. Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin9. Familiar supplier risk and segment management, project management capability10. Seriously and aggressive for business and ownership taking, willing to study more areas and new part.
